そこへ石を置き、立木を立て、苔を植えていくと…

気づけば、手のひらサイズの森が完成しました。
Before I knew it, a palm-sized forest had come to life.

この「何をどう置くか考える時間」が一番楽しいです（笑）
Honestly, the time spent thinking about “what to place where” is the most fun part. (lol)
流木を主役に——レイアウトの基本
Driftwood Takes Center Stage — The Basics of Layout
まず中心になる流木を配置。
First, I placed the driftwood that would serve as the centerpiece.
今回はこの流木を古木のような大樹に見立てました。
For this piece, I imagined the driftwood as an ancient, towering tree.
レイアウトは、最初に主役を決めるとまとまりやすいです。
When it comes to layout, deciding on your focal point first makes everything come together more easily.
石と白砂で景色を作る——遠近感が命
Creating the Scene with Stones and White Sand — Perspective is Everything
石を置いて高低差を作り、
中央には白砂で小道を作成。
I arranged stones to create different levels, then used white sand to form a small path down the center.
この道があるだけで、
「奥へ続く景色」が生まれます。
Just having that path creates the feeling of a scene that stretches further into the distance.
テラリウムは遠近感が命ですね。
In terrariums, a sense of depth is everything.
苔を植えこむ——緑が入ると命が宿る
Planting the Moss — When Green Arrives, Life Begins
苔を植えこんだ瞬間、景色が完成へ近づきます。
The moment the moss goes in, the scene starts to feel truly complete.
緑が入ると、無機質だった器の中に命が宿る感覚があります。
When the green arrives, it feels like life suddenly inhabits what was once just an empty container.

手のひらサイズですが、
見ている間、散歩している気分になります。
It’s palm-sized, but while gazing at it, you feel as though you’re taking a stroll through it.

- 苔は数種類混ぜると自然館UP
- 小さくてもせ外観は作れる
完成して気づいたこと——作る時間が一番の癒し

最初はただの空き容器。
でも少しづつ素材を置いていくと、そこに景色が生まれる。
It starts as just an empty container. But as you place each element one by one, a landscape begins to emerge.
苔テラリウムって、完成品より
作っている時間そのものが癒しなのかもしれませんね🌱
With moss terrariums, perhaps it’s the time spent making it — more than the finished piece itself — that truly heals you. 🌱
